World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats. Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. item upgrading will maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes. When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could increase in price even if you do not need it. Upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources. Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
